Police Warns Against 2024 Slogan ‘No Gree for Anybody,’ Cites Potential Anarchy.
In a stern caution, the Nigeria Police Force has raised concerns over the popular 2024 slogan, “No gree for anybody,” warning that it originates from a revolutionary movement that poses a significant risk of triggering chaos nationwide.
Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday, Police Force spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi emphasized that intelligence reports indicate the slogan’s connection to a revolutionary sector with intentions to incite a revolution in the country.
Mr. Adejobi stated, “Let me reiterate that the new slogan for 2024, ‘No gree for anybody,‘ has been flagged by intelligence as originating from a revolutionary sector that may potentially cause problems across the country. No gree for anybody’ might sound like ordinary talk, but in the security community, we perceive it as a highly dangerous slogan that could instigate a crisis.

The phrase “No gree for anybody,” expressed in pidgin, loosely translates to stubbornness or a refusal to be subdued. It has gained traction on social media among Nigerian youths, celebrities, and brands as a popular catchphrase for 2024.
