PDP G5 in closed-door meeting with Tinubu

 

Four former PDP governors and the current governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, are currently meeting with President Bola Tinubu behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The G-5 former governors and the governor of Oyo State arrived at the State House at 4:21 pm and proceeded directly to the President’s office.

In addition to Seyi Makinde, the G-5 meeting includes former governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.

 

This comes amidst Wike’s past meeting with the new president with former Governor of Delta state, James Ibori and Seyi Makinde making Wike’s meeting to the State House approximately three times in the past week.

Recall that the G-5 governors, as they were known at the time, worked against their party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the February 25 election.

 

Meanwhile, Pat Robertson, a prominent televangelist who founded the Christian Broadcasting Network, has reportedly passed away.

On Thursday, Robertson, who made the Christian right a powerful political force and ran unsuccessfully for president in 1988, passed away at the age of 93.
