Kano, Nigeria – Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has expressed his belief that President Bola Tinubu must work to regain the trust of Nigerians, particularly in the wake of allegations regarding his Chicago State University certificate.

The former governor of Anambra state made these statements on Tuesday in Kano, shortly after paying tribute to the late former Minister of Internal Affairs during the Second Republic, Alhaji Bello Yusuf Maitama.

He went on to assert that leaders who choose to serve the country must earn the trust of the public and adhere to the rule of law as prescribed by ’s constitution.
