Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, a controversial Lagos socialite, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. The arrest was confirmed by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command.
According to reports, the police had previously invited Sam Larry and singer Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, for questioning regarding Mohbad’s demise. The police have also confirmed that pathologists have completed the autopsy on Mohbad and are awaiting the results.
This recent development follows the exhumation of Mohbad’s body by a combined team of the Nigeria Police Force and health officials. The nurse who allegedly administered an injection to the deceased singer before his passing on Tuesday, September 12, has also been arrested.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death is ongoing, and Sam Larry is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
