Buhari sacks NASENI Chief Executive, Prof Haruna after completion of his tenure
President Muhammadu Buhari has issued an immediate resignation order to Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna, Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
According to a statement from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Prof. Haruna has been tasked with handing over his position to the establishment’s next most senior officer.
According to the statement, the action follows the reversal of the extension in office granted by the President from April 2, 2023 to April 2, 2025 because the EVC had completed two five-year terms in the organisation.
In a statement distributed by Willie Bassey, Director of the SGF’s Information Office on Tuesday, it was stated that the President recognises Professor Haruna’s contributions to the development of the engineering infrastructure subsector of the economy and wishes him well in his future endeavours.
Meanwhile, the Federal government has accused the labour party presidential candidate, Peter obi and his vice, Datti of treason.

This comes on the heels of the interview which was granted Datti on channels TV, prior to which the organization was slammed with a N5M fine for violating broadcasting rule.
