Tinubu Appoints CEOs for NIWA and NSC

has announced the appointment of two new Chief Executive Officers to head key parastatals and agencies within the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.

The appointments, endorsed by the President, align with the recommendations put forth by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.

In a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), and as the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC).

Munirudeen Oyebamiji, a graduate in Banking and Finance, also holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Business Administration.

With over two years of industry experience prior to entering the public service, Oyebamiji has demonstrated his expertise. He played a pivotal role in reversing the downward trajectory of the Osun State Investment Company Limited and subsequently served as the Osun State Commissioner of Finance for eight years.

Similarly, Akutah Ukeyima, who holds a degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Public International Law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He most recently served as the Head of the Central Authority Unit, International Cooperation in Criminal Matters, Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.

President Tinubu has charged these new appointees with the responsibility to faithfully implement the policies and programs set forth by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy.
