In a statement conveyed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara expressed his determination to defy those who perceive his adherence to the presidential peace pact as a sign of weakness.

The governor highlighted that his decision to promptly implement the peace initiative, initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and accepted by all stakeholders, was out of respect for the president and as a political solution to the crisis that gripped the state since October 30, 2023.
Addressing the misconception of his humility and compliance being interpreted as weakness, Fubara stated unequivocally, “if that action that I have accepted to take would be seen as a weakness, I will surprise them.”
