The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in collaboration with security operatives, has made a significant discovery by uncovering an illegal oil refining warehouse in Mabushi, Abuja.
This revelation came to light during a clamp-down exercise conducted by the Director of the Department of Development Control, Federal Capital Territory Administration, Mukhtar Galadima, on Thursday.

Galadima disclosed that three to four plots of land, originally designated for commercial purposes, had been repurposed for the illicit activities of oil and diesel adulteration. The refined products were then circulated to various parts of the city.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration, through Galadima, expressed a commitment to taking decisive action against unauthorized activities within the nation’s capital. He emphasized the revocation of titles for properties engaged in such activities, demonstrating the administration’s dedication to city sanitation.

“From what we have seen so far, about three or four plots of land designated for commercial purposes have been converted to unapproved activities, and we believe the owners are fully aware there will be consequences.

We are going to look at the provision of the law and make necessary recommendations to the FCT Administration,” Galadima stated.
