However, reports indicate a move by 11 lawmakers loyal to Aiyedatiwa to sway Akeredolu’s loyalists to support declaring Aiyedatiwa as acting governor during Tuesday’s plenary.

One lawmaker, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed a call from the deputy governor insisting on his declaration as acting governor, defying the resolutions from the meeting with President Tinubu.

The state chairman of the party, Hon. Ade Adetimehin, asserted that no politician in the state would go against the resolution reached with President Tinubu, emphasizing the significance of upholding the President’s directives.

Speaker of the Assembly, Hon Olamide Oladiji, affirmed that the lawmakers align with the outcome of the meeting with President Tinubu. Majority Leader Hon. Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi clarified that there is no plan to welcome the deputy governor with fanfare or proclaim him as acting governor.
