Tinubu Appoints Shaakaa Chira as the New Auditor-General of the Federation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the selection of Mr. Shaakaa Chira as the substantive Auditor-General of the Federation. This announcement was made through a statement issued by the presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Friday.

The appointment is in accordance with the powers vested in President Tinubu as per Section 86 of the 1999 Constitution (Amended). Mr. Chira’s selection came after a meticulous screening exercise conducted by the Federal Civil Service Commission.
