Patrick Areghan, Head of WAEC‘s National Office, stated while he was speaking at the launch on Thursday in Lagos State, Nigeria that the certificate is an electronic version of the physical paper certificate.

Areghan affirmed that from December 2022, certificates for West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates, 2023 will be available on its digital platform.

According to the HNO, the digital certificate platform will allow more than 30 million certificate holders to access and share the original copies of their certificates from anywhere in the world. WAEC digital certificate cost ?
Areghan said it costs N7,500 to access the digital certificate; N5,000 for confirmation and N3,500 to share.
Meanwhile, the Katsina State chapter of the National Rescue Movement, NRM, has urged the government led by Governor Aminu Bello Masari to address the current obstacles students face in accessing their West African Examination Council, and National Examination Council, NECO, results.
