We Will Set The Party On Fire If Tinubu Includes Kwankwaso In His Cabinet – APC Chieftain Warns
Abdulmajid Kwamanda, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, has urged President-Elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu not to include New Nigeria Peoples Party presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso in his cabinet.
He made the request after it was reported that the two politicians had met.
Kwamanda told reporters in Kano on Thursday, May 18 that if Kwankwaso is given a portfolio in Tinubu’s government, the party in the entire north-west zone will withdraw their support for Tinubu.

He also warned that if they set the party on fire, Kwankwaso’s appointment to the president-elect’s cabinet would make it impossible to extinguish.
He said;
“We in the northwestern United States do not welcome Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso into our APC party. We do not approve of Bola Tinubu appointing him to any position in our party, even as a messenger.
“If Tinubu disregards our outcry and appoints Kwankwaso, we will disrupt the entire APC in the north and withdraw our support for him.”

“If we start a fire in the party, not even Tinubu as president can put it out. We are located in the north, and the people are our people.
“We have expended all of our efforts, integrity, and dignity in the North to mobilise the people to vote for Tinubu, but they refused to vote for a fellow northerner so that he could win in the region and have now embraced our principal opposition. We will not tolerate this.
“We assure Tinubu that if he chooses to disregard our call, we will turn our backs on him. We do not welcome Kwankwaso into our party and do not appoint him.”
