1. Bandits in Kaduna State, Nigeria, have tragically killed six farmers, including Mallam Yakubu Bugai, Vice-Chairman of Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus-Sunnah. Additionally, over 40 villagers were abducted while working on their farms.

2. The European Union has declared that it will not recognize the putschists who took control of Niger last week. Furthermore, the EU is suspending security cooperation with the country due to its ongoing struggles with jihadist attacks. The bloc’s chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, stated their readiness to support future decisions by West Africa’s regional bloc, which may include imposing sanctions.
