The Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has expressed its endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, applauding its commitment to combating , insurgency, banditry, and various forms of insecurity in Nigeria.

In a statement released on Friday and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Alex Ogbonnia, Ohanaeze distanced itself from the statement made by Mr. Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, the acting National Youth Leader of the organization.

The statement highlighted that President General Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu of Ohanaeze Ndigbo expressed his dismay over Okpalaezeukwu’s statement.

Iwuanyanwu emphasized that the Igbo “credo” is built on hard work, resourcefulness, transparency, equity, fairness, and creating an enabling environment for Igbo ingenuity and entrepreneurship to thrive in Nigeria.

The statement emphasized that Ohanaeze Ndigbo represents the history, emotions, and consciousness of the Igbo people. It serves as the sacred temple of the Igbo, which should not be desecrated by youthful rascality, imprudence, or perversions.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide reaffirmed its unwavering support for President ’s commitment to fighting corruption, insurgency, banditry, and other forms of insecurity, firmly dissociating itself from Okpalaezeukwu’s youthful exuberance.
