In a somber turn of events at Bolorunduro, Ondo East Local Government Area of Ondo State, a dedicated worker identified as Matthew tragically collapsed and lost his life within the confines of his office. This unforeseen incident has left colleagues and the community grappling with shock and disbelief.
Matthew, a resident of Elemosi in Ondo town, reportedly arrived at the office on Friday, engaging in routine activities before having breakfast within the premises. However, the sudden and unexpected collapse occurred shortly after, leaving co-workers in a state of distress.

Efforts to resuscitate him proved futile, and he was swiftly transported to the Bolorunduro hospital, where medical professionals declared him deceased upon arrival.
In a statement from an anonymous co-worker, there were no prior signs of illness or distress observed in Matthew, making his demise even more perplexing. The family is currently in mourning, with the wife too distraught to provide any comments at this time.
Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, affirmed the incident’s occurrence. The police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding Matthew’s untimely death, and his remains have been placed in the hospital’s morgue pending further inquiries.
This unfortunate incident serves as a stark reminder of life’s unpredictability, leaving the community in sorrow and prompting reflections on the fragility of human existence.
