The declaration was made by Dr. Oluwatoyin Akinlade, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, who acted on behalf of the government. In her statement, Dr. Akinlade extended her congratulations to all Nigerians on this momentous occasion.

 

 

Reflecting on Nigeria’s democratic journey, she acknowledged that it has experienced both challenges and successes, much like many other nations.
