The striker, who missed most of the preseason and August, has seamlessly adapted to life under Jose Mourinho since his summer loan switch. However, a late red card in the recent match means he’ll be sidelined for upcoming challenging fixtures.

The Athletic reveals that no recall clause was incorporated into the terms of Lukaku’s move to Roma. This absence rules out the possibility of an in-season return for the Belgian, who Chelsea signed for €113 million from Inter Milan two and a half years ago.

I think we were better but we didn’t get what we wanted. This was a game to play and to win. It’s a problem we need to check. We need to analyze the reality. We need to talk and to try to improve in the transfer market.”
